Leaders vow to fight against corruption in Khagrachhari
KHAGRACHHARI, Mar-24: Leaders in a discussion urged all to work combined and to fight against corruption aiming to take the country ahead of development.
They also suggested to empower the district and upazila unit corruption prevention committee to serve the purposes.
They urged it in a discussion organised by Khagrachhari District Corruption Prevention Committee (KDCPC) held at the conference hall of Hotel Gairing in Khagrachhari on Tuesday.
Deputy Director (DD) of Rangamati unit of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Md Safiqur Rahman Bhuiyan, attended in the programme as the chief guest while KDCPC president Sudarsan Dutta presided over the discussion.
DD of ACC Md Safiqur Rahman Bhuiyan said ACC is announced to fight against corruption and members of all district and upazila unit corruption prevention committee would have to be played a vital role in this regards.
He urged all to be aware to defeat corruption from society and from the state.
General Secretary of KDCPC, Advocate Jasim Uddin Majumder, its member Abdul Halim, Farjana Alam, Dulal Hossain, Mohalchhari upazila President Md Shahjahan Pathowary, Laxmichhari Upazila President Dashoroth Talukder, Panchhari Upazila President Bakul Chakma, Matiranga upazila president Abdur Rahim, Ramgorh upazil unit Secretary Mohammad Shah Alam, were spoke, among others.
Later, identity card from ACC were handed over among the district and upazila unit presidents and general secretaries.
