3-day 14th CHT Indigenous Cultural ends in Rangamati
CHTJ Desk: A 3-day long 14th Chittagong Hill Tracts Indigenous Cultural Festival concluded on Friday at the compound of Rangamati Small Ethnic Cultural Institute.
With support from AK Khan Foundation, Jum Aesthetic Council (JAC), a CHT based adivasi (indigenous) cultural organisation, organised the event.
Reva L Dalien Bawm inaugurated the fair while Prof Mong Shanoo Chowdhury was the chief guest.
Shantimoy Chakma, joint convenor of the event organising committee, addressed the welcome in the gathering.
Chaired by Advocate Mihir Baran Chakma, president of the JAC, the opening event, were also, address, among others, by indigenous writer and researcher Jir Kung Sahu, Dr. Parash Khisa and Mothura Bikash Tripura.
Different kinds of stalls including indigenous pitha (cake), photography exhibition, traditional antiques and souvenirs are being displayed in the festival.
Artists of Bawm, Mro and Tripura were performed different songs and dances during three-day festival.
