57-cases filed for food adulteration in Khagrachhari
CHTJ Desk, KHAGRACHHARI: A total of 57-cases were filed against the traders for adulteration of food by the executive magistrate of different mobile courts conducted in eight upazilas in Khagrachhari district over the past one month.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Wahiduzzaman disclosed it in a law and order meeting held at the conference room of district administration on Monday morning.
DC asked businessman not to cheat consumers in any way, otherwise administration would take legal action as per Mobile Court Act-2009.
He also requested civil society leaders to play active role aiming at establish peace and tranquility in the area and asked police to show zero-tolerance against drug addicted and drug peddlers.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) ATM Kousar Hossain, Superintendent of Police Md Mazid Ali, Khagrachhari Musicality Mayor Md Rafiqul Alam, District Awami League General Secretary Md Jahedul Alam and many government officials were present in the meeting.
