GUN ATTACK IN KHAGRACHHARI; UPDF-DYF demanded judicial inquiry rejects current probe committee
CHT Journal Desk: Democratic Youth Forum (DYF), a youth body of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF), in a press release on Monday demanded fair judicial investigation into the seven murder incident by rejecting the current five member probe committee led by additional deputy magistrate (ADM) Abu Usuf Ali in Khagrachhari.
They said indiscriminate brush firing by the armed men of their rival Democratic UPDF and Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS-MN Larma) on their leaders, activists and innocent people took place in presence of district administration, law enforcers and Border Guard Bangladesg (BGB) on the day of seven murders at Swanirvar Bazar area in the town of hilly district Khagrachhari.
People will never expect fair investigation by the current probe committee and its very urgent need for divisional judicial inquiry to find out the real reasons of that armed attacks and trace out the killers immediately. Our Jumma people will never accept the report from this present probe body, they pointed out in the release that signed by Baran Chakma, press section of DYF.
They demanded to take punitive action against the attackers of Perachhara and Swanirvar Bazra area in Khagrachhari town and action against the concerned district administration officials and law enforcers as they failed to prevent such gun attacks and save the innocent people despite of their well presence during the times of shooting by the killers almost in broad day light.
