Pen mightier than bullets and weapons---Bir Bahadur MP
CHT Journal Desk: Pen of enlightened citizens is a big asset and mightier than a bullet and weapons. Merely being an educated is not enough, everybody have to be well educated with ethics, moral values and character, and then they must have engaged in the works of building ‘Sonar Bangala (golden Bangal)’ to make come true the dream of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing MP, state minister for ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs (MoCHTA) said this while addressing a reception programme of SSC, HSC, Honours and master degrees students as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Mro Students Council organised the event on September 5 at the hall room of Arun Saraki in the hill town of Bandarban.
Minister said the students of all educational institutions from primary to higher secondary level are getting new books at the beginning of new year every year as the Prime Minister are very much sincere toward education.
Soon after signing the CHT accord by the Awami League government, the wave of continuous development is taking place very fast across the country. In everywhere development is getting progress in every sector including education, health and communication in the hilly regions and our AL-led grand alliance government has been working very relentlessly for the welfare and betterment of the hill people in CHT, said Bir Bahadur.
He urged all to come forward with positive mindsets and the students to continue their education as they could engage themselves in the works of building the nation and the country in the days to come.
Additional deputy commissioner Md. Shafiul Alam, additional police super Md. Karuzzaman, member of Bandarban Hill District Council, Sing Yang Mro, spoke among others.
Some 100 students who completed SSC and HSC and 20 students of honours and master degree were given reception in the programme.(chtj-desk/report).
