DESK REPORT: A leader of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS-mainstream) was killed by unknown armed terrorists at Paglipara area on the Ghagra-Kaptai road under Kaptai upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The dead was identified as Padma Kumar Chakma,50.

Quoting locals police said that Padma was gunned down by the armed members of unknown assailants on Monday morning at Paglipara area. The killers left his blood stained bullet hit dead body beside the Ghagar-Kaptai road after killing him. Being informed, Kaptai police recovered the dead body from the scene on Monday. It was sent to Rangamati general hospital for autopsy on the same day, said Md, Nasir Uddin, officer in-charge (OC) of Kaptai police station.

However, our police could not ascertain about the motive of the killing and about the killers, adds Nasir.
