Health guidelines must be followed during ‘Durga Puja’ -Says SP Alamgir Kabir

Properly maintaining health guidelines are so vital for the interest
of public health in the upcoming ‘Durga Puja’, the biggest
religious festival of the Hindu Community. As there will be a big
gathering from all walks of life during the event everywhere in the
country, so there is a huge possibility about largely infection of
Coronavirus amongst the people. Everybody has to be cautious in
this regard and must abide by the health guidelines in order to
contain the deadly covid-19,
Superintendent of police in Rangamati Md. Alamgir Kabir here on
Saturday said this while addressing a view exchange meeting on
the eve of coming ‘Durga Puja and Beat Policing’.
District Police organized the meeting at hall room of Police Pallwel
Park in the town. Chaired by SP, the meeting was also attended, by
additional SP Md. Sufi Ullah (admin and crime), additional SP
(sadar circle) Tapas Ranjan Ghosh, Puja udjapan parishad leaders
Amar Dey and Badal Kanti Dey.
Besides, police beat officers, union parishad chairmen, members,
traditional leaders—headmen and Karbaries, poura councilors and
local journalists were present and shared their opinions.
He underlined the need for performing all kinds of activities by
following everything from the world’s community for the
pandemic.

SP Alamgir urged the Hindu leaders to ensure keeping of sufficient
amount of disinfectant solution in every ‘Puja Mandop’ as if the
visitors could avail it easily. Indifferences and spread of rumour by
all concerned in regarding coronavirus can’t be tolerated, he
warned.
He further informed that additional police personnel will be
deployed in each ‘Puja Mandop’ in the hill district and in at
different strategic points for the sake of ensuring blanket security
measures to avert any single untoward incident. No ‘Shova Jatra’
is allowed in this time, Kabir added.
