DESK REPORT: At least nine persons were infected with coronavirus in Rangamati on Tuesday.

Among the nine, 8 from Rangamati sadar and another one from Kaptai upazila, sources said from Rangamati Civil Surgeon Office.

The total number of positive cases so far is 1385 as per the account of CS office on Tuesday (April 6). Three persons are currently receiving treatment at isolation centre and a total of sixteen people were died of coronavirus in the district since it outbreak in March last year, said Md. Mostafa Kamal, medical officer and a spokesperson at Rangamati CS office.

Contacted, civil surgeon in Rangamati Dr. Parach Khisa told this correspondent that the infection rate is increasing alarmingly in every single day in the district. He urged all to follow the health guidelines and stay home to prevent the unseen virus. (chtj.net).
